Budgeting for holiday spends!

Hi everyone

Relatively new to the site and actively reducing my debt thanks to all the great advice on here...

Going on holiday next week though.... (paid in full by cash before LBM)
on Bed and breakfast basis to one of the Greek Islands.

Any ideas how to budget for evening meals, lunchtime snacks and spends.

Going to make sure we have BIG breakfast to see us through the day.

Have saved £500 as spending money, will this be enough for 2 adults for one week?

Not been abroad for five years so no idea of prices.....

Help!!!

I suggest you look round before you decide to go in anywhere - most places will have a menu & prices outside....You have approx 700 Euro, so you can budget 50 Euro a day for your meals.

You can pick up lunch cheaply from a supermarket or market...bread, cheese, olives, water & fruit, then have a meal in the evening.
  • Have you been down to your libary to see if you can borrow some travel books for Greece? Something like a Rough Guide or Lonely Planet usually are fairly good at recommending what you should be spending for certain things and will equip you with loads of local information that may help you save some cash!

Just make sure you remember to pack everything as holidays tend to get expensive when you need to buy a beach towel/beach shoes/suncream lotion etc when you know yours is sitting on the kitchen worktop!

    Have a lovely time!
