Got a parking fine from Vehicle control services and now a balance due letter from bw

Hi

In February I received a parking ticket at 19:59 outside Reflexion in salford.
the parking ticket was issued by Vehicle control services for a fine of £100, £60 if payed within 14 days.

I read all the threads on here and came to the conclusion that I did not have to pay as it was just an invoice and hopefully If i kept ignoring the letters they would go away.
However, 2 months later I have now got a letter from bw legal saying I have a balance due of £100.00 PCN charge plus client's initial legal costs of £54.00.

it also says I failed to make a payment or raise an appeal within 28 days. thus the full balance now needs to be paid within 16 days of receiving this letter. If i fail to make this payment, they will seek their client's instructions to commence legal proceedings against me in the form of county court claim form in the county court.

It seems listening to other threads as to ignoring them did not turn out as expected.

I REALLY NEED HELP WITH THIS, AS I AM NOT SURE IF I SHOULD PAY THE FULL AMOUNT OR LEAVE THEM TO IT. ANY HELP WOULD BE APPRECIATED

It's just a debt collectors threat-o-gram, and legally means nothing. Ignore it unless you get a Letter Before Action or something from a court.

treat the BW LEGAL letter as an LBC and play letter tennis with them at this stage, otherwise its likely an MCOL will be issued

see the sticky threads and use the forum search box using BW LEGAL and read similar threads from 2016 (not older ones from previous years)

I don't know where you got the idea about ignoring though!
