Is PGSE cost tax deductible?

Hi all,
My wife has just been offered a teaching job...
She is not fully qualified yet and needs to complete a PGSE course.
This will cost around £4200 which she will have to pay herself.
Will she be able to deduct this amount from her annual income? and will/should the college take care of this?
Thanks for any advice

PGCE, and no, that isn't an option for her.0

She may get a bursary dependent on her degree classification and subject.

She has a masters degree in mechanical engineering but unfortunately she will be classed as a foreign student and will not be eligible for bursary.
I am self employed and I know I am able to claim against income for training courses relating to my job. Do you know the reason why these costs are not tax deductible?0 -

£4,200 is very low, particularly for an International Student - is this a part time course?0
