Help

Hi there can anyone help me plz.
I applied for a morgage in my own name even thou I was married and I got accepted gave in all documents they wanted paid solicitor had survey done 4 wks into this the bank has said I got declined because my husband was on my child tax award?
It clearly states that the money is made payable to to myself into my own bank account but they still said no.
Why they let it go 4 wks into application knowing I was married when I applied knowing I claimed child tax and his name would have been on my award as I was married why would they do this is people.
All I'm wanting to know is will this affect my credit checks in the future having a morgage decline againest my name? I've a very good credit history and it was me whom they were lending the money to so why it's an issue I just don't understand. Any help would be very much appreciated ty x x
