G24 Parking charge and debt recovery

Hi. Haven't posted on here for awhile now and really hoping someone can offer advice. Last Nov I had a Coutersy car after someone drove into the back of me, this car was from the garage repairing my car and they rent from a lease company. I went shopping to a retail park with my 1.5 year old boy and there wasn't any parent and child bays, so I waited and drove around any none became free, so I stupidly parked in a disabled because there wasn't any large spaces available or two parking spaces next to each other that would allow the room I needed, I also checked there was enough disabled bays, and there was. Now I have this parking fine Forwarded onto me from the garage I had the car from, they have now received a further letter from a debt recovery agent stating that if I didn't pay by 4th April then court action would go ahead. The fine is now at £160 I called to see if they would lower it and they wouldn't. My question is, what do I do now? I have the garage on my back to pay it, and am worried that it will multiply, I'll be taken to court and have to pay court costs. Please help, I have a mortgage to pay, a little boy and am 5 months pregnant and worried sick.

its not a "fine" , its an invoice for an alleged debt
ignore any debt collector letters, they are powerless
read this https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/5035663
also read this too, the debt collector part, which is similar advice
https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/4816822 post #4
the garage should have named the HIRER of the vehicle to G24, that is their problem if they have not done so0 -
Get the garage to write to G24 to give your name and address as the 'HIRER' of the vehicle (NB - not the 'driver').
Tell the garage that this should remove any further need for them to receive correspondence.
Sleep easy - debt collectors are powerless to do anything other than send silly, scary letters. Don't let them worry you. See post #4 of the newbies sticky.
G24 have never been litigious. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

please follow the good advice above ..........
oh and my little point .......
do not use disabled spaces if you are not disabled ....
you do deserve a 'fine'
however the amount that these cowboy firms invoice you is shocking ....
so again please follow the forum advice ...
good luck
