Yep they are free on freeview (channel 59) and on youtube.
Not free on Sky (do not ask me why).

Hi all,
Just to let you know, my b/band and phone are with Plusnet. I renewed it today and, whilst I was on the phone, I discussed BT Sports. They have advised me that as the football season is coming to an end, they were offering free BT Sports (including HD) for a period of time. I just gave my Sky card number and hey presto, I have now free BT Sports HD via my Sky dish. I will phone them up next month to cancel it.
I'm not sure whether BT are doing a similar deal for BT Sports but I suggest that it is worth a go.

It's not as if they weren't up front about it. I seem to recall them saying when they took over the rights that both the Champions League and Europa League finals, plus a few group games, would be shown on their Freeview channel.Great, we pay out all that money for SS/Bt then they show it free?'...luck came to those who left a space for it.' It seems BT included making the finals free to air in their bidding for the TV packages, which could have helped them win the rights.
For the FA cup final we actually have a law saying it must be televised and must be free to air so if any provider ever offers the FA cup final as part of their package then it's a misleading claim as either they'll show it for free or it'll also be on a free to view channel provided by another provider.0 -
