FTB - one spouse with adverse credit

Hello,
Me and my fianc! have found the perfect home, it's offered under shared ownership with our local authority and is £174K.
We have £15K in savings to put towards the deposit and all costs.
I have bad credit (2 CCJS although these are old) and old defaults also.
My parter has a pristine credit history having held a few credit products (phone bills, credit cards etc) all of which are satisfied and closed or on going with no issues.
We are considering applying for a mortgage but wonder if it's worth simply leaving me off the application.
Thoughts?

Yes. Similar situation here (but ours is complicated due to both of us having our own businesses mine in its infancy and some of its start up costs are on my credit cards!) but basically broker suggested leaving me off the mortgage. So mortgage is in solely husbands name but I had to sign to say I'd leave with him if property was repossessed. Plan is for me to come on board with the mortgage after 3 years when our deal runs out. Speak to a broker, we learned a lot from ours!0
