My mortgage with Halifax

Hi,
I am currently 1 year into a 5 year fixed rate deal with Halifax..
My mortgage is portable but I want to know what happens if I want to borrow more than I already have? (I know I am able to borrow more)
Will I get it on the lenders current standard variable rate or something? I'm guessing they won't lend to me the rest on the same rate I'm currently on lol..

If you ring the lender, they will give you their current rates available. Or you could go on the standard variable rate to avoid an arrangement fee. Depends how much extra you want to borrow really.I am a Mortgage Adviser
