MIDLANDS Furniture closing down 90% off

If you're in the Midlands and looking to buy furniture, Lee Longlands in Leamington Spa, Warwickshire, (It's at the bottom of the main High Street) is closing down and all stock goes into liquidation on Saturday. They are charging silly things like £180 for a £1,700 sofa. That's about 90% off! They've always been regarded as good quality furniture, it's very nice stuff so if you're in the area on Saturday it would be worth having a look at least.

I'm hoping to bag myself a £900 matress for £79!

I didn't say it was all 90% off, just some of the deals I've seen are roughly that.

Says clearance sale STARTS Saturday. But, yes, it does look as though the final closing date of the store is 25 November.

All I have seen is a (full cover) ad they have placed in one of the free local papers which doesn't have a website. The paper is the midweek herald, linked to the stratford herald. I'm sorry I don't have any more information than that.

Out of interest, I was at the a restaurant at the bottom of the parade in Leamington Spa last night. Lee Longlands was rammed until 10pm, as they issued 'private' invitations to previous customers to attend yesterday (Thursday and today). A family member received one of these invites in the post, and was planning to pop down there today.

After the meal I walked-up the street behind Lee Longlands and saw the staff leaving (just after 10). A chap looking very much like the General Manager crossed the road in front of us bragging on his mobile about how much he'd done in sales, and that it was the highest grossing day he'd ever had (oblivious to the people around him!)...

...Don't expect much to be left by Saturday at that rate
