Aldermore Mortgage Offer Extension and Credit Advice

Hello All,

I'm a FTB and I was wondering if you could help with a couple of things.

I have an offer with Aldermore which expires in a week as their offers last for 80 days. I have sent across my last three payslips and bank statements to request for an extension through my broker. Has anybody had any experience of this with Aldermore? What was the outcome? I have used half of my credit limit on one card to pay for fees (valuation and searches). Also, a CCJ went on my credit file on 15/04/16 and was removed on 12/05/16 - it no longer appears on my file. Will this affect me getting an extension? I moved out of a flat and an energy company put the supply into my name simply because I was allegedly the last person registered to the address. All the bills, reminders and collection letters were sent to my old flat and with no access, it ended up as a CCJ. I found out when I got an alert from Credit Experian which was annoying as I am waiting to exchange on a property. Thankfully, the energy company, debt collector and County Court pushed this through and it has been removed. I just hope it won't affect my chances of an extension.

My bank Halifax are offering me 0% interest on BT card. I was told that you cannot get credit once you complete on a mortgage and I am keen to transfer my two credit balance to a 0% card and pay off a loan with it. When is the best time to do this before exchange or after completion?

It sounds odd that I am getting a credit card from Halifax and mortgage from Aldermore however, I have a default from 2011 which drops off in January 2017.

Thanks
