Employers Reference Query/Help??

Rite,

Just applied for a mortgage as a first time buyer,

My employer has been sent a reference for my wage from the bank as I do not have any payslips with it on (as I have just got a major uplift in pay!)

My mortgage is based upon my new uplifted basic wage and a new shift premium on top (38%), the bank has already got some payslips with my old wage on and a shift premium on (33%) which probably is enough as a shift premium with new wage but not with the old basic wage.

However, my employer is not allowed (apparently) to send my shift premium (%) with the employer pay reference to the bank and only the basic wage... the reference is to be sent soon.

Will the bank accept the old shift premium from the old payslips and the new basic as a employer reference and put 2+2 together?
or has anyone got any idea of what i should do here, I do have some fresher payslips with the old wage and the new shift premium (38%) on but wont that make the bank ask some questions over my basic wage?

Have you asked the lender if they will accept it? Some may, some may not but the only way you are going to find out is to ask the person whos decision it is.

  • I don't know as my adviser is dealing with it, feel that it would be better explained if i just phoned them about it like. Thanks for the reply!

f you have explained it to your broker, I am sure they are in a position to forward that on to the underwriters or account managers. Your paying for a service, they do this day in day out, trust them to sort it out.
