Google bans payday loan adverts

I would like to see some figures regarding PDL paying back ex customers and current customers, thousands of pounds for unaffordable lending practices. This is just the tip of the iceburg, like Bank Charges, PIP,Etc. If there was no wrong doing then the PDL who did follow correct procedures have nothing to fear. I just think that there has been a lot of wrongdoing in the past few years and people power and the FOS are putting things right.
And yet again as listed previously :- Redress where redress is due is not a bad thing, Does not matter what is said or done as your view is only blinkered by your own affairs of which you clearly failed to manage previously.0 -
I managed my financial affairs fine, any monies I borrowed were paid back on time and in full. We will agree to disagree Stevie.0

I had to run up £3,000 only at the end of last year because my boss felt he would like Christmas in Australia, yet I still had to pay my mortgage!
Go back and drink champers in Islington.0 -
Hey Blackbeard, I have put complaints in against QuickQuid and PDUK, just because I paid on time and in full did not mean the PDL loans were affordable. The FOS are now dealing with these 2 companies who choose to ignore any rules or laws and have a total disregard for customers and the FOS.0

I've never used PayDay loans and don't have much of an opinion about them.
But I'm pretty sure I don't want GOOGLE deciding for me what adverts I can and cannot see.
We already have a process in place to impartially adjudicate on advertising and whether it should be shown.
But as with all things Google, it's their game, their rules.
I wish someone - anyone - would come along and challenge its position of supremacy. Even if we had just 1 credible competitor to google I would feel better.0 -

Very credible and wont track you 1 bit0 -
I believe people go to PDL because they have no other alternatives to get loan from more credible lenders.
We are dealing with adult here who need to take responsibility of their own action. At no time the PDL forces the people to take a loan. PDL is certainly a better alternative than Loan Shark.
If google start banning PDL which is a legit product, what next they will be banning ...
I think google has gone too far to ban a legal and regulated product ....0
