Sure this has been covered before, I need to open a basic bank account that can be done online just to pay some bills from.

Would be interested in one that would give mean account number straight away if possible.

Thanks as usual

Thanks guys for the usual good advice

Just curious, I have a debt with Halifax Bank of Scotland, does anyone know if they are associated with Lloyds?

Wondering if they are that I will in danger of them taking money from my new Lloyds account to put toward the HBOS debt?

    thanks

I believe Nationwide do a good basic account.

    You could also try Barclays.

I opened a basic account with Natwest a few years ago and even then it was all done pretty quickly.
