Next and the CCCS

Hi ,
We are with the CCCS, sorting out our horrendous finances.
The thing is that we've now had our second 'missed payment' statement from Next.
They say that they didn't receive the payment in time (the payment cleared on the 4th September, should have been there on the 2nd September) and charged us £32 as well as cancelling the arrangement.
The thing is when we rang the CCCS they told us that the payment was sent on the 17th of August !!
Next have reinstated the payment plan, but they won't refund the service charge.
Next say they are unable to change the payment due date to accommodate the fact that the CCCS don't send payments until later in the month.
Am I correct in thinking that the CCCS send out one cheque to Next for all their clients that owe it money ? And then Next allocate the money to individual accounts ?
The thing is, I think that Next received the money from the CCCS soon after the 17th of August, but they took too long to credit it to my account.
I'm just pretty darn infuriated by Next's attitude.
Has anyone else experienced this ?
Any advice on what we can do ?
Apologies if that's a bit waffly
, and thanks in advance for any advice.

Hi
I'm with CCCS and I had something similar with Halifax credit card as I was always behind with payment and even though CCCS got a payment to them I still owed them for the month before so I ended up paying an extra few pounds to them to get them off my back and leave me alone.
Also, wanted to tell you all what happened to me this week. I've got a managed loan with HSBC and it is paid via the CCCS. HSBC have called me before and complained and threatened me saying that if they don't receive the payment on the 26th of the month I am then flagged up and they will call me. I spoke with CCCS and they settled my concerns, explaining how it works and that HSBC are just being pedantic. Anyway, I was looking at my bank statement and notice that £45 had been taken out by 'Loan Account'. I couldn't think what this was for so I called HSBC (still have a current account with them) and they said that although the CCCS had sent a payment to my account on the 24th August, because it was not sent on the 26th - when the want it paid - the decided to merely help themselves to the money out of my account! So beware! I couldn't believe it - the payment has been made EARLY yet they still helped themselves!!! They have given me the money back but I'll certainly be more mindful.0 -
Hiya We are on our 3rd month on our DMP with the cccs and we have also had letters from some of our creditors, saying they have received our monthly payment late, as some want the payment on a different date, but the cccs pay all the creditors on the same date each month, all creditors do know this and are just being awkward, but when you enter into a DMP, with the cccs they do advise you that your creditors may still charge you interest and charge for late payments, they can also still take you to court, but most do accept the reduced payments and freeze interest and charges etc. Hope this helps still got a long way to go ourselves, and still finding it a struggle, to stick to the budget, but are getting there. Not sure if theres anything you can do about charges etc as legally, you are still liable for the debt, and I think they legally can still charge fees etc, Sure someone can shed some light on this, as I am not really hundred perceny sure if this is correct.
