I was looking at few stakeholder pension providers like Aviva and L&G.
They charge upto £250 per year as annual charge.
That isnt how stakeholder pensions charge. Are there any cost effective stakeholder pension providers i might have missed

Stakeholder pensions charge a % of the funds under management. The charges are capped at 1.5% for the first 10 years and 1% thereafter. Such charges are considered high now.
A quick glance at Aviva and L&G websites suggest they charge 0.55% and 1% respectively for stakeholder pensions. Both offer discounts when the pot size increases.

is there any personal pension scheme comparision site?
or any reputed personal pension provider with affordable charges and proven track record anybody would want to recommend?0 -
Most personal pension providers don't seem to want to deal directly with the general public, they prefer dealing with intermediaries. Or will give lower charges via intermediaries. For instance see the Cavendish site: http://www.cavendishonline.co.uk/pensions/stakeholder-and-personal-pensions/Thanks a lot for the info.

SIPPs are easy to set up and manage and can easily be as cheap overall as personal pensions these days, though you'd need to construct your own portfolio. Some providers will give suggestions but you're better of researching yourself. People quite often post their proposed portfolio here or on the savings & investment board for comment.0
