Is there anywhere around city centre that would do a small piece of sewing while the customer waits?

There is a woman who provides this service in the Spires Centre Fisherwick Place. She is very quick and her work is good quality and is not hard to pay.

They should make themselves more visible. I go in there quite often but have never come across them - is it an in-shop alteration service?

You really do need to be looking for them, I believe they are beside the "wedding shop" and opposite another clothes alternation shop.
