Making money online

Hi guys and gals,
Ive been trying for some time now different ways to make money online. Im currently in a job I've been in for 8 years almost now and its a hard manual job. I believe i work really hard for little pay, and I'm willing to work hard but for myself. Ive grown up with technology I'm now 25 and I believe the best way to make money is through the internet. Weather it is selling items that i can get shipped in or blogging or anything really.
I just want to ask the question here as i know if I'm asking the question to people who are selling online they are unlikely to tell me their 'secret' sort of speak. All I'm looking for is advice on if people have tried going into this before, what they found with it and also if there is a better place to buy from than a wholesalers in china.
Thank you in advance
Daniel.

There really is no secret. It's a common phrase used to sell guides or get people to sign up (and pay out) for schemes.

It's all online for free. The only secret would be what item a person is selling and where they got it/the items to make it, but with some research you could stumble across the same thing. Afterall, that's how it would have been found in the first place.

Overall advice is do your research, know all there is about the laws for selling online, read all you can about the site(s) that you will sell on and check out common scams so you don't get caught out.

Whether there's a better place than wholesalers in China really depends on the item. There will be extra costs with shipping from China that may put the costs higher than shipping from the UK or Europe. Plus you may have issues with certain items. Electronics, for example, should be up to UK standards. Not all Chinese items will be and some can be very dangerous.

Nobody is going to tell you what to sell or exactly how to sell it. It should be an item you know about anyway or you could make mistakes when selling it. Peoples experiences will vary greatly, not only because of what they're selling or where they're selling but also how much they're selling, if they're selling alone or as a company and how they handled their customer service.

Have a look at the money shed's work from home toolkit. All genuine jobs, I've worked for Appen and Leapforce in the past.

Selling has long gone past its quick buck day. Have a look for KatyKicker's site as well (google her) as she makes way more than enough online without selling products and all the associated laws.

For a little extra or to fill spare time if you go into this, try some paid for survey sites. I use onepoll, pureprofile, opinionbar and rewarded opinions and have never had any problems with them paying (bank transfer or paypal).

I do blogging and earning money online, I earned £3,500 last month from a mixture of affiliate marketing, blogging, Ebook sales, mystery shopping, etc.

It can be done, you just have to find what works for you. Good luck.

Is it possible for you to get Carer's Allowance or similar - or perhaps your Nan already gets that?

You must be able to get something, surely?

I blog and have websites where I do reviews. I also dabble in adwords (promoting websites) which is almost set and forget...but you do have to keep an eye on it.

It is a lot of hard work to begin with before you see any real results (except adwords - if you know how to do that its kind of easy). You have to have determination and perseverance overall.

I have also dabbled with buying products from China and selling via ebay/amazon but not on a big scale. I am quite a minimal person so buying certain products (that I would consider useless and unnecessary) and having them sell out quickly is always a mind boggle for me.

I am currently working on my own clothing pieces but this will be manufactured in the UK instead. I am looking forward to the results of that.

I would also say that you have to have a lot of self belief - sometimes you may doubt yourself and this can really mess with your progress. So just don't let it.

A website called nichepursuits has a few site projects where they have taken newbies from the beginning to making a successful niche site. That might be worth looking at if you want to go in that direction.

Also I love the fastlane forum. It will really make you believe in yourself and that you are capable of more than you think. This is why I am trying to get away from affiliate marketing and do my own thing...because I have more control then. Also it made me realise that what I have achieved online is actually pretty amazing and awesome....most people don't even make a pound let alone a regular income that, for the most part, is passive. So always celebrate any achievement you make in your journey too...never downplay it.

It is quite hard to put yourself back in the place of a newbie when you have been doing something for so long!

Lastly....taking ACTION is much more important than doing nothing. You might fail but failure is part and parcel of being successful at this sort of thing.

Haven't been on MSE lately, come back and first post I see I'm mentioned in  Thanks!

It is true that I don't sell products. I do a mixture of different things: surveys, mystery shopping, matched betting, affiliate marketing and more. I made £12,000 online last month, however, my usual months are around £3.5k-£4.5k now, however, bear in mind that around £2,000 of this is made from my website, so isn't just something that anyone can start up and make from month one.

There are lots of opportunities out there, lots listed on this forum, and I would advise anyone getting started not to go with just one company/website/income stream as sometimes they disappear unexpectedly. Also, don't reply on the money until it comes!

I read the latest reviews of Rewarded Opinions on SurveyPolice. People are saying that they are not paying or responding.
