Gardeningexpress.co.uk have some nice deals, but be warned their customer service is awful. In my case, plants clearly described by them online as supplied "in bud and bloom" were delivered as stumps to grow on. After a photograph was sent on request, and a long delay, they refused to make any amends, offering only a refund if I paid to return the misdescribed plants myself. It is not that these plants will not eventually look good, but the fact that they don't seem to care or take the point that they have misled., The invoice even said in bud and bloom. Inexplicably, this large turnover company chose to stand its ground and upset me as a previous customer, rather than just doing the right thing, as any reputable nursery would. They are also hard to get a response from. Avoid if you can possibly find an alternative supplier.

Our forum search here isn't great, but if you do a general Google, you'll find plenty of evidence that sending money in the direction of Gardening Express might be unwise.

Just for fun, I had a wee look at their web site, which is quite slick-looking and reassuring.....Hmmmm 4000 lines...that's a lot!

I visit specialist nurseries and sometimes buy over the internet from them. Occasionally, they can be a little rough at the edges, but I've never seen any of them masquerade as a huge operation.

I would say these guys are mainly middle men.
