Natwest mortgage funds release - 5 or 7 days?

We're exchanging this morning and solicitor has mentioned completion date of 'one day next week' which will be discussed today. We're FTB and living with my parents everything packed and ready in storage from when we moved in with them, vendor is an agency and house is empty, no chain whatsoever with anyone. They are very keen to get this finished and completed now, they wanted a 4 week turnaround from offer to completion (!) We're on week 7/8 now so we all want it done asap now.
Question is, solicitor said mortgage funds from Natwest take 5 working days, but vendor agency says 7? Who's right? 5 or 7 working days?

5 working days = (7 days / 1 week) = Standard terms.

Natwest should be able to improve on this anyway (if really necessary).

Whoever wanted/agreed to 4 week turnround on a standard purchase was a little over enthusiastic. Two months is towards the good side of normal.
