Vodafone dispute and mortgage

Afternoon all.
My husband has had trouble with Vodafone, they put late payments on his credit file in error which I managed to get them to remove, we have the evidence of this. We then applied for for a mortgage and when the underwriters looked at it, Vodafone have reopened the account and put late payments on there, I spoke to them yesterday and they said it's cos they owe us, but won't send an email to confirm this. Does anyone know if our solicitor would be able to speak to them on our behalf as I think this is all that is holding up our mortgage.
Thanks Rebecca

I don't think your Solicitor would get involved, mainly because they'll be experts in conveyancing not necessarily disputes of that nature.I spoke to them yesterday and they said it's cos they owe us,
Can you clarify that bit, as if they owe you money there's no reason for your credit file to be negatively impacted.
Assuming they believe you owe them money and you disagree the quickest way to resolve this is for you to make a complaint with Vodafone.I am a Mortgage BrokerYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a Mortgage Broker, so you need to take my word for it.

We have made many complaints, I rang them yesterday and asked why it has been reopened and they said cos they owe us 13.98, and as soon as they pay us the account will be closed. Then the post came with a letter from them saying they have closed the account as we asked but we need to pay our final bill of 5p so I ring again, apparently they have no knowledge of this and still insist they owe us. If we start complaining to ofcom or ombudsman it will take ages and we will lose the house.
If we owed them I'd pay and always would have but they won't take our money.0 -
Hi beccybone,
