Freezer burn on chicken breasts

Hi just after a bit of advice

I bought a pack of chicken breasts, the pack split on way home, I put in freezer and meant to use quickly but forgot...
Just found them and the split has meant they have got some freezer burn on the tops - will it be safe to just cut this off? They smell fine just look dried out on the top

Don't want to waste them :o

Freezer burn only really effects the texture and appearance of the meat exposed.

I'd probably chop them up, burnt bit and all, and use them in a stir fry, curry or casserole.
That sounds like a classic case of premature extrapolation.

I would use for a curry or cook it in a casserole, do not roast it. x
Why pay full price when you may get it YS ;)

just cook it.. why cut any bits off?

and you should be more concerned about the things that bred on the exposed raw meat before it was frozen.. and next time put it in a different bag or box ;)

Yes, when they are partial thawed (easier to cut) just slice off the freezer burned top, toss that, then cook remainder as usual.
Overprepare, then go with the flow.

Another vote for just chop off the burnt bit and use the rest. I do it all the time.

Thanks all, last night I chopped off the worst bit, made into fajitas and it all tasted fine :)
