Hi All,
My Fiance has been on about getting one of these for ages and i have continually put her off due to the high cost. However its her birthday soon and i am going to treat her.
Does anyone know where to get a cheap one because i feel iv missed the boat with this one as january they were on offer everywhere due to nye resolutions etc.
Im also aware there is an alternative that completely destroys seeds like the nutribullet but im not sure what it is.
thanks in advance

Amazon deal of the day today
https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B01AYC07U6/ref=gbps_img_s-3_5227_4ac45db8?smid=A3O3GDQITM5BEC&pf_rd_p=899825227&pf_rd_s=slot-3&pf_rd_t=701&pf_rd_i=gb_main&pf_rd_m=A3P5ROKL5A1OLE&pf_rd_r=N2A3ED9R55B26N5QGBEB
Hand on heart I've never used one though so I'm not vouching for it, just pointing it out....0 -
@belfastgirl23 That does not look like what he was after, however it might of been an alternative but with some differences which may or may not suit.
A price would of been helpful so that the OP knew what he had missed.
Some of these blenders offer easy methods of storing the blend with a fixing/locking cap whereas more traditional blenders would require moving the blend into a suitable cup or flask before consuming.
There are many different blenders at many different prices, some offer better and more complete blending whereas cheaper ones can struggle with some food sources leaving unblended parts and fragments. Faster blending speeds, higher powers, blade design and the jug design can influence this. Be aware that some of these blenders are very noisy! Something which might receive objections if done late at night before bed.
The real high end and more efficient blenders can run into hundreds of pounds, some as high as £600. The Nutri Ninja is an alternative and I think that comes in several different versions and powers. If you search Amazon for "Nutri" you should come up with many different versions from the different manufacturers.0 -
I have one and it's pretty good. I'm sure there are cheaper alternatives that do the job nearly as well.
I have 2 books with mine; one for drinks/smoothies and one for soups.
I stopped using mine for anything healthy after the first week. Kale, spinach, fruit and seeds blended together does NOT taste good. Don't care what anyone says ;-)
I'm planning to use mine more this summer for cocktails and ice-cream smoothies :-D0 -
There was a recent TV consumer programme on the BBC (I think it was BBC2 or BBC4?) where they compared a few different Nutri-bullet style blenders to rate them and see how they compared.
The Nutribullet is an expensive model because they got there first with the blender-to-bottle thing, but there were other blenders which came close in terms of what they produced. The Salter blender I think I remember came first in comparison but as to what the model was called, I'm not sure.0
