I have only half a side of paper to update would you believe, so I am nearly there! I suspect none of the items I'm adding to the list will work:rotfl:, as I seem to have checked a store that has all the 'rare' items (rare for me anyway and, possibly(?), unlikely to be in a collection store).
I'm checking the right M this time in order to get them, like should be done, but probably the 'wrong' M for the APG - although no M is any more right or wrong to be checking than any other M and, as M has the products at the stated prices or so I believe, the competitor ought to be 10% cheaper!
This isn't a barb against Mr A - they have the resources they have and check whatever stores they check; nonetheless M has all the products I am finding. Obviously moving onto items that aren't in Leamington now, as they're not on m.com/msm:rotfl:.
Like - actually - most items I put onto the list - probably at least half aren't on msm - and the other M I was updating to the list previously, before I'm now on this "rare items" M - btw it doesn't have all rare items:rotfl:. - again lots of items not on msm.
The M I'm now doing is a lot different to my own M - in a way, you'd hardly think they were the same stores:rotfl:. Actually this M does have one range that is duplicated in my own 'local' store (that is quite rare to come across in M generally), but all the rest (that aren't items that are regular in every M) that is in this 'new' M is not in my local store - and isn't in any of my other nearby stores.
I don't know - the thing is that, if this 'new' M was my nearest store, I'd have all these 'rare', 'obscure' items that I don't see from my current position and then would eventually visit what is actually my own M and find a whole load of, to me then, "obscure" items that are in fact regulars to me from my own actual position. Maybe the APG will have these "rare" actual faraway store from me items as they don't seem to have what's in my own M:rotfl:.
Maybe there's hope - one:( out of 14 of these items has made a recent appearance in one of my regular stores so maybe I can check it better!:rotfl::j:rotfl:0 -

Really dont know why they dont save themselves some money and just employ you Savvy, and you could always make the odd little mistake(just for us).

They ought to. I did think about that the other day - and indeed I'd do very effective price collections that picked up a lot of items that M has. I think I'm into a lot wider ranges on my list that they are, and certainly more than TBG must have, simply because I think I'm checking in total across more stores than the APG (and definitely TBG) is. Not infrequently, I check more stores than TBG does in a price collection day! (Albeit that mine are all in one part of the country, but have partially different ranges in each other - not as much as I would like and having to go out elsewhere for those - apologies for being delayed on the Ayumi products (even though some of those are online), the updating of the Island Farina Potato Starch and my not seeing the Mazuri items for over three months - in fact those aren't online but have been checked this time and no extra ones made it to the list - as these items are in none of the stores I check even every two months - though at least I have now found them in a store that is closer than 100 miles away from me:rotfl:.)
There are items I still haven't seen in any M and I now know about some of those from online when checking these other items, although I don't check online for the list and updating from instore information provides quite enough and doesn't leave much chance to check the website very often.
The trouble from their (APG's) POV is that I'm only doing a selection of the 'good' (or possibly good) items in M from our POV (some then turn out to be very bad and available much cheaper elsewhere:rotfl:) so I'd miss all the higher priced items from M for them:rotfl::rotfl:!
I don't literally get every item from M - I don't think anyone could ever do that, but just what seem to be the "good" ones in each store (and occasionally ones where I knew in advance that there might be any glitch).0 -

I know it's different, but I come across JD Winter Jack (70cl) in occasional Ms - which is a clue that, if it's not in your M and it's more likely not to be then you are going to have trouble finding it - and, as far as the SELs let me know, it's still £10. Doesn't make my list nowadays as it seems it's disappeared from a.com ages ago. Maybe it went to really cheap RTC in A for all of a few hours during which it sold completely out (but don't forget - possibly same position as M, they may fail to change SELs in some A(s) and do their 'clearance', in those stores, later as a result:rotfl:) - these items, when they drop offline, must surely remain in stores and then be cleared out (which, possibly, they never truly are from every store they have)? The best prices are often immediately after items have disappeared on the grocery websites and have therefore gone on clearance (in stores where they have got round to changing the SELs - or are on theoretical clearance in other stores if only their customers besides us knew about them:rotfl::rotfl: - maybe best chance of us finding them in those kinds of stores:D;)).
Perhaps the OOSs/unavailables on msm are items that need to be looked for in A to see if they are RTC? I usually frown at seeing A OOS or "---" (when it was a price before) and tend to default such items to "buy in M" but, maybe, just maybe, in fact we ought to be looking for such items, on buy in M, in A - to see that A does not in fact have them instore at cheaper RTC prices than the offer prices (or sometimes RTCs) that I've found for them in M. If the item defaults to buy in M (as a result of not showing online and in stock for A and therefore considered Avs M would not work - or in the case of OOS items, not known when it went OOS and therefore considered risky as could have gone more than 7 days), once on buy in M, if the item would otherwise be available for Tvs M, I indicate RTC if it is an item that therefore should not work on TBG - however, if it's only seemingly available in M (out of A, T and M) then I won't say on the list if it is RTC or not. I will just show its description and the M price I have. However, if it's on "buy in M", maybe it ought to be looked for in A as it may be OOS or "---" online for A (resulting in the "buy in M") but could have gone onto cheaper RTC in A.
If I consider the 10% makes a difference - i.e. makes it a good enough price - then I tend just to forget about the item altogether and not put it onto the list at all if it turns out not to be available in A online as I wouldn't buy it in M without the 10%. The M price itself ought to be decent enough for it to get to "buy in M" as there is no 10% off it for people without discount cards. So, sometimes or even often, if an Avs M comp. could never be available, due to the item not being on a.com or possibly out of stock there for too long, the item doesn't make it to the list at all. And other times, if M is still decent enough, or if I just want to draw it to people's attention (I do this more so if an item isn't online at all), it will go onto the default to 'buy in M' list.0 -
I still have one item, that I suspect M has, that wasn't in the store I checked on Wednesday, and isn't in any of my other stores including it being in none of my regular stores.
The store didn't have any indication of this:
www.mysupermarket.co.uk/asda-compare-prices/Frozen_Poultry/Ginos_Battered_Chicken_Nuggets_500g.html
Has anyone got this product (and/or a SEL for) in their M please? Is it in one of your two Ms in Walsall perhaps? That's where I saw most Gino products several months ago. Anywhere else? On offer at £1.50 until 24th July? TIA.
I'm putting it onto the list:eek::eek:. Even though I have never seen it - at least not of late, maybe I have a vague recollection of it somewhere but it wasn't on offer at the time I saw it so didn't pay attention to whether it was the battered version or not - otherwise have no evidence whatsoever of M having it or at this price, but I suspect that no doubt they do! Is anyone able to confirm this is the case please? Ta very much.
I may well find its the one at my store on Monday:rotfl:.
Also wondering if M have the Pineapple Flavour or Kola Shampane KA 330ml soft drinks can - I've only found the Black Grape and Fruit Punch (one more than I have ever seen before:rotfl:) and neither of those two online:j. Has anyone got Pineapple and/or Kola at any M, at 3 for £1? Help me out please!
And I'm also still looking for the Nestle Princessa Milk Chocolate Bar (probably 37g) - maybe M don't have the Milk Chocolate one so I will never find it, but I suspect that somewhere they do! Should be 33p in M anyone? Has anyone got anything else besides Hazelnut, Coconut and maybe even Milk Chocolate? I don't rule out those possibilities either:rotfl:. TIA.0 -
Well, I've found East End Chapatti Flour White Fine (10Kg). I wonder whether M have East End Chapatti Flour Brown (10Kg):rotfl:.0

M list is now updated from Wednesday - none of the new items on Avs M will work at all:rotfl:. I suspect about 15% might work:rotfl::rotfl:. I may need 9:eek::rotfl: posts when we start a new thread as the number of items is huge and then probably three more somewhere later to move stuff I haven't seen for ages onto. I may check some of what I haven't seen recently on msm later if I get around to it - I don't hold out much luck of finding much of it there:rotfl:! Somehow I am now supposed to be able to check the whole lot in my Ms on Monday:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:.
