    1. Yellow warning of rain

From: 0600 on Sat 7 MayTo: 2300 on Sat 7 May Updated 5 hours ago

Scattered showers or outbreaks of rain are expected to spread north during Saturday morning, then lasting into the evening. Between the showers and rain some brighter spells with hazy sunshine are expected.

These showers may be heavy with the potential for lightning and small hail. Please be aware of the potential for localised disruption to travel and outdoor activities.
    2. Yellow early warning of rain

From: 1300 on Sat 7 MayTo: 2100 on Sat 7 May Updated 5 hours ago

Whilst the majority of places within this warning area will see a dry and very warm Saturday with a good deal of hazy sunshine there is a very low likelihood of isolated intense thunderstorms developing during the afternoon and evening.

Please be aware that if these occur they are likely to be associated with torrential downpours as well as frequent lightning and hail leading to disruption to travel, outdoor activities and potentially flooding or temporary power disruption. Some very localised strong and gusty winds are also possible.

Perky...I've just been and had a count up and I know it's going to be moderate by most standards but we have
    60 cans of carling
    8 bottles of charlie wells
    3 bottles of Bath ales
    10 bottles of stella cidre
and a 4 packs of 4 carling still to redeem

I could do with some white wine though...so looked on Twine but all they are offering as an alternative to the mystery cases are the christmas collection cases still at full price

    So greedy:T:cool::beer::beer:

    Yes, good morning
I read about someone local who was travelling with Thomson and they failed to inform them so he was refused boarding....had to get a new passport and missed about three days holiday, not to mention the cost.
Most other airlines are on the ball and have been advising of this for a while.
Only those near expiry need worry as from the end of 2006 they have all been biometric (camera logo on the front)hth.
DD2 knew about this as travelling in September with Virgin and her OH has to get a new one as his is one of the few :(

My passport was issued in 2006 but doesn't expire until 2019 as I was doing a name change and they added the extra years on.
Going to get mine changed in next few weeks as hate the thought of not being able to travel on a whim and will definitely use in USA before it expires.
Just hope they add the extra years on again.

I know they worked the change out so they thought everyone would have changed passports by the time it was effective 10 years later and you do need 6 months left on passport to visit us a so only really people with extra years added on who will be affected.

From the quiz today: If an Englishman asked you if you wanted a 'Pig's Ear', what would he be offering you?
Of the available answers, it was fairly obvious they wanted beer, but has anyone ever heard this expression??

I've heard it in relation to making a mess of something, or bodging a job - making a pig's ear of it - but that's all.
