Thank you all again for my birthday wishes most kind.

It's hard trying to find soft drinks that don't contain citric acid . Been drinking delicious water ... not lol but apparently Coke life is ok but none of the other cokes.

Roast pork is one thing that doesn t do me any favours just now and what did I have for my birthday meal yes roast pork. With the acid part of it all what did I make myself when I lost my voice Hot lemon water and a bit of honey :o

Also went to a different Homebase today, lots of cheap items in the homeware dept still - 25p glasses, we got some lovely red stemmed wine glasses for 43p, candles in ceramic holders for 50p, packs of retro placemats £1 and matching coasters 50p a pack. Also a fab kitchen gadget set for £2.

Went upstairs to the lighting dept and oh my goodness it was £2 heaven. We got these fab hanging lights for the kitchen (after the extension), will have a run of 3 lights hanging over the centre island, also got smaller ones for £2 too. Cute little table lamps with glass shades, all £2. So they are still out there :D

Many thanks to whoever mentioned that you could use Yeokens for a lunch at the yeo valley canteen. DH and I were travelling to Somerset for a few days, so booked lunch at yeo valley. The exchange of 105 yeokens covered a single course...we had beef bourguignon with garlic mash and spring greens, and burger in brioche bun and fries...both were delicious. We did have chocolate brownie with ice cream for dessert, which we paid £4.50 for....hopefully, some photos will appear below (apologies for half eating the brownie before I remembered to take a photo)....hope you dont go into next doors garden tweets!
