Barclays Tickets Prize Draw Rules
This document sets out the rules for this prize draw. Make sure you read them carefully and understand them all before you enter the draw.
Introduction
Barclays Ticket Tuesday is a promotion run by Barclays offering you a chance to win tickets to see your favourite football team play in the Premier League (the "Promotion"). By entering, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions. To enter, you need to complete the entry form online (found here).
Rules
1. “Barclays”, "us", "we" or "our" means Barclays Bank PLC, a company registered in England and Wales with registered number 1026167 and whose registered office is 1 Churchill Place, London E14 5HP.
Who Can Enter?
2. The Promotion is open to residents of the UK, the Channel Islands and the Isle of Man who are 16 years old or older at the time of entry. Employees of Barclays and their immediate families, as well as anyone professionally connected with this Promotion, are not eligible.
How to Enter
3. The Promotion will run from 00:00 05 May 2016 until 23:59 on 01 August 2016 (the "Promotional Period").
4. Entry into a Prize Draw is free.
5. To register interest, you need to visit the Promotion Website and complete the online form. The entry form will require you to enter your name, email address phone number and the club that you support. You will also be asked to confirm that you are 16 or over and whether you would like to be entered into the Prize Draw.
6. If you win, you will win two (2) tickets to a 2016/17 season Premier League Fixture. You must be a home or neutral supporter to attend the match.
Other Conditions for Entry
7. We will only accept one entry per person per Prize Draw. Entering a Prize Draw will not prevent you from entering a subsequent Prize Draw during the Promotional Period.
8. The following entries are not valid entries:
a. entries submitted using automated means - e.g. a computer program, script or device, or other method or technique designed to unfairly increase chances of winning;
b. third party or bulk entries;
c. entries made in breach of these terms and conditions;
d. entries with inappropriate, illegal or offensive content;
e. entries received outside the opening or closing times for a draw or outside the Promotional period;
f. dishonest entries; and
g. entries which, in the reasonable opinion of Barclays, do not give a valid reason why you should win.
9. We may verify the validity of entries, disqualify any entrant and invalidate or recover prizes issued to an entrant following breach of these terms and conditions. We will deal with such prizes at our discretion, including carrying out an additional draw, utilising them for another promotion or donating them to charity. We may also block entrants from the Barclays Football Twitter and Facebook accounts or the Promotion Website.
10. All entries become the property of Barclays. You acknowledge that you have waived your moral rights and any copyright or similar rights and title in any statement made by you in connection with, or in relation to, the Prize Draw (your “Content”).
11. You also agree that we, or any persons authorised either directly or indirectly by us, can use any part of your Content as we see fit. We may distribute, edit, copy, translate, distort (for artistic purposes), exhibit and exploit such Content for the purposes of promoting or in relation to the Promotion, using all media and formats. This includes social media such as Facebook, Twitter and YouTube.
12. Lost, delayed, undelivered, incomplete or multiple entries will not be entered into the Prize Draw.
13. We are not responsible for any incorrect, inaccurate or incomplete entries or information caused by an entrant or occurring during transmission.
The Prize
14. The Prize Draw winners will receive two (2) Premier League match tickets to a nominated 2016/17 Premier League Fixture (the "Prize").
15. The Prize Draw winner is responsible for their own expenses incurred in connection with the Prize, including travel and accommodation expenses.
16. If you are a winner and under 18 years old, you must be accompanied to the nominated Premier League Fixture by someone who is at least 18 years old.
17. No cash alternative will be offered.
18. Participation in the Prize Draw cannot be exchanged or transferred.
19. Other than as set out in the terms and conditions of entry and below, you may not transfer the Prize to anybody. The unauthorised sale or disposal of tickets is a criminal offence under section 166 of the Criminal Justice and Public Order Act 1994, as amended by the Violent Crime Reduction Act 2006.
20. The Prize may be passed on to friends or relatives but you will still be held responsible to the fullest extent permitted by law for any actions involving the use of the tickets by the transferee. Tickets cannot be sold or taken as cash.
21. Barclays reserves the right to offer an alternative or similar prize if a Prize becomes unavailable for reasons beyond Barclays' control.
Selecting the Winners
22. All entries will be placed into the first applicable prize draw during the next "Promotional Period". If the selected winner does not meet the eligibility criteria set out in these rules, we will re-draw and select an alternative winner.
23. If you are a winner, you will be notified by email no later than 24 hours after the close of the draw. This notification will contain a reference number which you should keep as a record of proof of a winning entry. We may ask for the reference number as proof of a winning entry.
24. If you are a winner following a re-draw, you may be notified by telephone if the re-draw occurs within 2 business days of the nominated Premier League Fixture. You will be given a reference number which you should keep a record of as proof of a winning entry. We may ask for the reference number as proof of a winning entry.
25. Prizes may, at Barclays' sole discretion, be delivered to addresses in the UK, Channel Islands or Isle of Man, or may be made available for collection at the stadium where the relevant match will take place. If delivered to an address provided by you, they will be sent to arrive within 3 days prior to the Premier League Fixture. Barclays is not liable for delayed or non-delivery of Prizes for any reason beyond its control, including but not limited to loss or theft in transit or any failure by you to accept delivery of a Prize for any reason. If you are required to collect your ticket at the stadium, you will be notified of any specific collection arrangements.
26. If you are selected as a Prize Draw winner, the tickets that you have won to the nominated Premier League Fixture can only be exchanged in exceptional circumstances. Barclays cannot be held responsible for incorrect prize notification as a result of errors in delivery of messages by network providers beyond its control.
27. Barclays’ selection of the winner is final. A list of Prize winners for the 2015/16 Premier League season will be available from Monday 15 August 2016 by sending a stamped, self-addressed envelope to Barclays Ticket Office, Dorcan 300, Murdock Road, Dorcan, Swindon SN3 5HY. No other correspondence will be entered into.
28. Barclays reserves the right to publish names, photographs and county of the winner or to publicise the Promotion after the Promotional Period.
Additional Conditions of Entry into Premier League Stadiums
29. Entry to the Premier League stadiums is subject to normal conditions of ticket entry. All tickets are ”home” tickets and you must be a home or neutral supporter to attend the match. Away fans are not permitted in the ”home” section of a Premier League stadium. Winners are subject to screening by Premier League football clubs ("Clubs") based on their conditions of entry and we are not liable if you or any person accompanying you is refused entry because you do not meet these conditions.
30. Each ticket is issued by the relevant Club subject to the terms and conditions of entry, which are available from the Club and will be provided to you with your Prize. The use of a ticket to enter a Club's stadium constitutes acceptance of that Club's terms and conditions of entry. The ticket shall remain at all times the property of the issuing Club.
31. Except mobile phones used for personal and private use only, you may not bring into (or use within) any Club’s stadium any equipment that is capable of recording or transmitting any audio, visual or audio-visual material or any information or data in relation to a match or any aspect of it.
32. The Clubs reserve the right to eject from a stadium any person who fails to comply with applicable terms or conditions of entry.
33. If you are the subject of a current Banning Order under the Football Spectators Act 1989 (as amended), you will be refused entry to the competition and to all Premier League Club stadiums.
34. If the ticket is obtained or used in breach of the terms or conditions of entry, it will be automatically void. The bearer will be refused entry and, if already in the stadium, will be ejected, in either case without refund.
Liability
35. The Promotion is not sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with Facebook or Twitter. You are providing your information to the Barclays’ Twitter web page or the Barclays’ Facebook web page. The information you provide will only be used for the purpose of facilitating the Promotion unless you have agreed to its use for any other purpose. By entering the Promotion, you agree to give Facebook and Twitter a complete release from any and all legal liability associated with this Promotion.
36. To the extent permitted by law, Barclays is not liable for any loss, damage, injury or disappointment suffered in connection with the Promotion (including any damage to your or any other person’s computer or mobile phone equipment as a consequence of downloading or accessing any materials), or any delays or failure (in whole or in part) to perform any of its obligations if such delay or failure is caused by something beyond its control.
37. Barclays will not be held responsible for the winner and/or companion not taking advantage of the Prizes due to health or any other reason.
38. Barclays will not be held responsible if the fixture does not go ahead at the time/date detailed on the ticket. Should the game be postponed, your tickets will be valid for the rescheduled date.
Personal Information
39. Barclays will only collect, store and use your personal information, such as name, age, telephone number and email address for the purposes of entering you into and administering the specific Prize Draw which you have entered as set out in these rules, and not for any other purpose without your consent. This will not affect any existing marketing preferences that you have registered with Barclays.
40. By entering a Prize Draw, you consent that your personal information may be transferred to the relevant football club, our service providers and agents (including their sub-contractors) to store and use as necessary to administer the Promotion. We will never pass your information to any third party for them to use in their own direct marketing, without your consent.
41. Your personal information will be held on record for a short period of time as necessary to administer the Prize Draw and then securely destroyed.
General
42. Barclays reserves the right to terminate, amend or extend this Promotion at any time without notice.
43. By submitting an entry, you warrant that all information submitted as part of the entry is true, current and complete. Barclays reserves the right to verify all entries.
44. These rules shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales and the courts of England shall have exclusive jurisdiction in relation to any disputes arising in respect of this Promotion.Posting is a privilege, not a right. For the past 15 seasons Barclays has offered Premier League fans the opportunity to win tickets and experiences, helping them get greater access to the game. However, at the end of the 2015/16 season our tenure as title sponsor drew to a close and as such we’ll no longer be offering competitions through this website.0
