Question about inhibition order (Northern Rock)

Hi,

I defaulted on an unsecured loan I had with Northern Rock in 2008, it was passed to a debt recovery lawyers called Yuill & Kyle and a decree was issued and then an inhibition order was granted, dated February 2009. I've been paying the monthly amount ordered by the court ever since without fail and I've never had any correspondence from Yuill & Kyle since they took me to court.

I understand that an inhibition order only lasts for 5 years so the original one will no longer be valid. My question is whether they could have applied for a new inhibition order once the old one expired without my knowledge or if I would have to have received a notification. I would have thought it's the latter but I'd be grateful if anyone can tell me for certain.

We're about to sell our house and while our solicitor has said that any valid inhibition will show up when they run the appropriate checks they're not in any hurry to do it but I'm getting impatient!

Thanks
