I was all set to vote for 'none' until I saw that MSE was listed as social media, I had no idea
Never seen it on any other list of social media.0 -
Google+ and Twitter for me. Gave up Facebook about 5 years ago.0

Google+ and Twitter here too. When I post on Google+ they are sent direct to Twitter but I do post through Twitter itself sometimes.0

It would be interesting to see what people are actually using these media for.
I know lots of people who use facebook etc to publish their every move and have no qualms about their personal details being visible to all and sundry so, until fairly recently, I had no intention of ever joining them, preferring to have "friends" that I could meet up with, chat with on the phone, etc.
However, I now find myself a member of both a gardening group and a craft group that use facebook to announce meetings, news and updates so I find myself a facebook user almost by default!
Still keeping my inside leg measurement etc to myself though!0 -

The same reason I now have a Facebook account .
I've never considered forums (fora?) to be social media as the conversations tend to be topic based rather than what I did on my holidays (or my inside leg measurement) :shhh:.0 -
Social media existence are so much important for all type of businesess. I am sharing top 6 social media platforms every business must have their existence here.
1: Facebook
2: Twitter
3: LinkedIn
4: Google+
5: Pinterest
6: Instagram0 -
Not hugely surprised by the poll results so far. Facebook is definitely the one most folks use. But not me, I quit Facebook last year, and closed my Google+ profile this year. Nothing against either place, or Twitter for that matter, but was losing too much time to social media and not really staying in touch with my real-life friends. Have kept LinkedIn (for professional networking), Tumblr (for casual blogging) and Pinterest (for bookmarking inspiring stuff), but that's my lot these days.0

I've come under a huge amount of pressure from various sources to have a Facebook account, but I have not given in and set one up.
I simply don't trust them; and I hear so many horror stories of people being bullied, and all sorts of family fallings-out due to things posted on Facebook.
Not for me, I think.
I do have a LinkedIn account, but I can't remember when I last looked at it - probably at least two years ago, maybe longer.
Like Torbrex, the only one I actually use is MSE - and I too wouldn't have really called it "social media".If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
I only use Facebook, albeit I have a Twitter account, I have never used it. I dont and never have considered MSE to be a social media network. Its a money saving forum, were I to class a forum as a social media network, the list would be endless.:A:dance:1+1+1=1:dance::A
