Help

Hello,

I was wondering if anyone could help.
I am currently looking for a mortgage, but had a default over 2 years ago, due to being made redundant. I was only able to afford half the mortgage payments not the whole balance per month.
Everything has been paid off and satisfied.
is there any banks that can help??

  • Possibly - but not cheap - go see an experienced broker (you need one)

Are you still in arrears on the mortgage and if not how long has it been up to date for?

Ok that's good, and well done for pulling yourself back after losing your job!

You'll have fairly limited options but I'd expect there to be a couple of lenders that would consider an application from you so there is hope.

If it was one payment that was half paid over two years ago, it might not be too much of a problem. Might be worth going in and having a soft chat with which ever bank or building society you think best suits your needs.

Or like others have said, a good broker will be able to find you a deal.
