I guess it's not so much that you can drain it off but more that you are paying for all the the fat in the first place. It could potentially be a false economy although at £1 it still looks like a good deal.

In my local Iceland, the packs were mostly "20% extra free", but there were also some "50% extra free". Both go through at 50p, so if you can find any 50% ones, it's obviously an even better deal.
