Filing Previous years' SA returns/recommended software

For various reasons I need to file some SA returns for previous tax years, can i access the relevant forms from the HMRC site or should i buy some online from a specialist tax software supplier and if so, does anyone have a recommended software e.g taxcalc or similar?

That was the top hit on Google.

As for the calculations, easy enough to do in Excel. Provided you understand the rules. If you don't, might be better to spend the money on an accountant than software.

Depends how complex and how far back the returns will be. If it is possible, do it online at HMRC. You enter the data, they do the calculation.
