How do I use sugar soap?

I want to get rid of some marks (sweat basically) where I lie against wall when in bed, I have a tub of sugar soap powder but not sure how much to use for the patch of wall (dont want to waste it as its expensive)

Also whilst I have it, want to wipe off the part of bath where I shower which has slight dark marks which scrubbing alone doesn't seem to get rid of

Thats the main things but can it be used as well for a pan that the inside coating has burned off because every time I cook with it it gives my food a certain metal taste (probably better to get new plan but if I can fix it just for boiling stuff I would be fine as have good frying pan)

You'll need to wash the whole wall because sugar soap is so effective that, when you clean the patch where your head has been, it'll stand out from the rest. A cup in a bucket of hot water will be enough and then you need to rinse well.

I've never heard of anybody using it to clean the bath, much less for washing up but no harm trying.

Do you just lump in the powder or do you need to mix it well first? Sounds crazy but I was thinking the powder works as a scouring agent in itself and if I make it watery it will change its effectiveness.

I did a test earlier put in a few spoons worth in a small drop of water and wiped wall with sponge, got rid of some areas where my head scratched but can't tell if it got rid of the sweat till it dries.
  • Be careful as sugar soap is a powerful degreaser that should be used before d coating. It can take more off the painted wall than you bargained for.

Wear rubber gloves and make sure you don't get any splashes in your eyes.

It's not a scouring powder, your few spoons could've been diluted in a bowl of water and wahed quite a large area.

It's very good but it can't get rid of scratches although I do wonder how you've managed to scratch a wall with your head!

Not scratches in the general sense but like when you move furniture you have black lines on a wall, I guess something like my fingernails scraped against them

I guess my problem with the test was I used a few small spoons and only a drop of water thinking I would dilute it too much.

That test area does appear to have worked to get rid of the stickiness and the colour is a little lighter but still there.

Now its working out best way to clean the bath, I dont know if a scourer is better there.
