I have melted my wonderbag :/

My pot was just very slightly off my trivet!

I am looking at it thinking "I really don't want to patch you." (I am a bad bad oldstyler.)

But nothing else does rice quite right.

I am guessing I can't iron a patch on with wundaweb.....

Can't help with repair (never actually seen one), but can help if you just decide to make a new one:

That sounds like a classic case of premature extrapolation.

Stop reading after the practical how-to bit, though - there's a rather strange section about cooking stuff afterwards about how making this conclusively proves the existence of God or summat rather than the laws of thermodynamics.
I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.

I'm sorry but every time I see this thread on the list I read it as 'I have melted my Wonderbra'

I don't know if it is just the combination of the words and the OP's name or the way my mind works but I just can't help smiling at the possibilities on how it might have happened :D
  • What material is your Wonder Bag made from BRASSIC WOMAN? when I made mine the recommendation was to use furnishing grade 100% cotton and I found a remnant in J*hn L*wis which did both sides for little cash in their sale. I don't use a trivet in mine, again the You Tube 'How To' that I used for the pattern said just to line the inside with a thick towel which works very well for me using a Cast Iron enamelled Chasseur Dutch oven.

Now there is a lady called Mooloo on MSE who makes these thermal cooking bags. She has her own thread on the "Marriages, Families, relationships.." board so it might be worth popping over there and asking her advice.
