Here's the thing, though - a partial settlement is different from a full and final settlement.
A full and final settlement implies closing the account with no further monies due.

Hi, I was advised they'll accept it as a partial settlement to close the account and that I wouldn't be pursued for the balance.
If I have no luck with call transcripts I'll make an offer to repay by installments.0
