Well I'm back after a long time away ! Still in financial pickle so decided that if I keep a diary that it would help to keep me on the straight and narrow ( well here's hoping lol )
I own 8 ( yes that's right 8) dogs who ate my life . I love showing them and this year was lucky enough to take 4 to crufts ! Due to circumstances I took some time out from showing but hope to be out again at end of the year . When I show I use my second hand caravan and stay at show grounds ( if they are a distance away ) . I also own a battered up van that is needing work ATM as not due in June so finances are tight !
I no longer have credit cards ( woo hoo ) but still owe a fair amount and want to be free of debt in 2 years ( if not sooner ) then I'll target the mortgage
Well that's the plan - easy when it's written down

Hello! I'm a newbie here and I feel your pain. We have three dogs, none of them show dogs or anything like that but, still, they are expensive family members! Not that we'd be without them for the world, but it adds up. I've signed up to petplan at The Vet, which helps a lot. I didn't want to admit that their general upkeep (without any illnesses or issues) was as much as £12 a month each but now that I'm on the scheme, I'm pretty sure that I am saving money. It includes flea and worming treatments, as well as several vet consultations a year, nail clipping, booster jabs and money off other things like neutering. Definitely been worth the cash

I do think that writing everything down helps. Makes you realise what's actually going on, painfully, sometimes. But it's a necessary wake up call, at least, it was for me. I've also started to get cash out of the bank to pay for things for the first time in years. Handing over cold, hard cash rather than slapping down the plastic puts everything into context for me. I've got a long, long way to go, though.

Well today was a bit trying and was definitely not a NSD :-(
Paid debt I owed of £20 for beds I had made for the dogs and also bought roll and sausage and 2 cans of pop ( bang goes the diet ) !
Had 3 dogs entered and got fourth in our first class , binned ( nothing in the second and another fourth with the last class . Then home and back on puppy watch ( I've a girl due any day tho at the moment no sign of anything happening ) . The winner of the best of breed was a dog I had for 8 months before going back to her breeder do it shows I have a good " eye " lol
Now having evening watching TV surrounded by my gang and having a relaxing evening .
Yesterday moved caravan to another storage place where I can pay monthly rather than in chunks . Also means I can leave the stuff I use camping in it ( at the old one nothing could be left not even the aqua roll ) . So tomorrow I may try and have a sort of one of the sheds if it's dry . If it isn't I'll gut one of rooms in the house . Onwards and upwards my lovelies .....Date restarted DFW 30/04/16
