...and tackling it head on.
Hi guys, long time no see.
Done a bit of growing up since I was last on here. 23 and got a bit more life experience than before like!
Don't k ow the figures yet, but wondering what the best approach might be.
Calling stepchange tomorrow to I form them of my new employment status, followed by ringing creditors to ask for arrears balances after I've been making token payments due to losing my job.
Basic pay 9.50/hr 40 hrs a week... however my first 3 months I'm guaranteed 2280 gross a month. There is the potential at my new employer to earn a monthly pay equivalent upwards of £100,000 a year if you're willing to do the hours... in all honesty it's quite doable. Point is the hours are there if I want them and I'm willing to do what it takes. The potential will come into play after my probation.
I'm not really sure what I'm asking here, but I want he debt gone before Christmas. Top of my head total debt is around d 16k now due to charges and arrears etc. I was just hoping for some passing comments on what people would do in my position. Just want you moneysavers to help me get the ball rolling really.
Comments greatly received. Thanks for your time.
Many thanks.

During the 3 months, most creditors have been a pleasure to work through this unemployment stage with. Can't say that for barclaycard however. I shall not be giving anyone any figures other than my basic rate and hours as technically that's all I earn according to contract, the less they know the better. I almost feel out of my league with such a pay change, and windeed ow people could advise me to not be silly with it and pay back my debt in the most efficient way. Christmas is my target but you never know. Once a spender always a speeder hehe.0

Have you used the snowball calculator to look at best way of paying off debt?
Good luck, it's great to have plan and a focus, very motivatingDebt -it's a fight that I'm winning, dealing with debt one day at a time.

Hi you need to keep your nose clean during the probation period at work!
Presuming the rate of pay / income will go up.......... do check its not a carrot with no core, but even at the rate per hour at present, you need to list your ins and outs on here and then people can comment on how best to help you.
Need to keep the creditors at bay but you also need to address things going forward.
