Tesco Conditional Spends & Brand Match

Hi can anyone tell me whether a conditional spend coupon is accepted at the till at Te$co if the brand match brings it under the threshold. i.e. £5 off £40, Shopping Comes to £41, but £5 brand match takes it to £36. Would the conditional spend go through or would you have to purchase more?

in my experience the till totals the shopping
then the brand match comes off
the total left needs to be £40 in this case

then the cond spend fiver is taken off , then any paper coupons

Any coupons/vouchers etc., are just another method of payment, and therefore not relevant as far as conditional spend is concerned.

So you're saying that Brand Match is a form of payment rather than a discount applied before payment?

Yes, the only thing to check first is the back of the conditional spend coupon, just in case it says that it can't be used in conjunction with a Brand-match voucher.
