experience of transferring pension

My husband wanted to transfer his pension from Friends Life to a company that does drawdown. After reading a great many posts on here we decided to go with Hargreaves and Landsdown as they appear to be well thought of and we really didn't have a clue.
What a different experience between the two companies. We contacted FL to ask for the relevant paperwork, 25 minutes for them to answer the phone and we were told we would get it in about 6 days, it arrived nearly 3 weeks later.
Phoned HL to ask about their drawdown, phone answered immediately and risk assessment paperwork came the next day which we could do over the phone. Again phone was answered straight away and following paperwork the next day.
We had a query with FL before we could complete HL form and again waited 25 minutes in a phone queue yet had to phone HL again re a question we weren't sure of and again spoke to someone immediately. Such a difference between the two companies.
