list of best earners on quidco

Hi there,

Joined quidco last night and signed up to gala bingo, made my first £30 squids
(£20 profit):T :j  obviously I have £10 to spend on gala, any idea on the best way to spend it???!!!

My main reason for trying out the money saving ideas on MSE is so I can show our daughter "E" how to earn somee extra money at home whilst looking after "C" her 3year old whirlwind.

Is there a list of the best ways to earn on quidco, so I can work my way down the list and point "E" in the right direction.

Have you any other ways to earn extra dosh on the internet, other cash back sites etc, apart from ebay which we have just set up to start selling.

Many thanks

Steve

  • I signed up to Gala Bingo too the other day, deposited £5 (so £25 profit after quidco cash back) played through that, won £100 and got a free £5 from Gala as a sign up bonus. Won another £10 with that. Happy days :)

Whatever you do, don't bother with Astrobingo, even though its £30 cash back, its also a minimum of £30 initial deposit and impossible to withdraw back from. I've written that off as a 'learn from my mistakes' thing, but at least it was break even.

There are some other Bingo things on Quidco that seem quite good, £10/£20 cash back for £5/£10 deposit, you'd have to read thru the T&C's though to make sure its easy to get your initial deposit back.

Also, I do pigsback.com clicks. Some are only worth 10p (for looking at a website for a few seconds), but some offer a few pounds for signing up for a competition or something. So far I've only earnt £15 in two months, but its money for nothing and by xmas I can buy a gift from their rewards page for someone (nice box of 2 bottles of wine etc). Or I can get it paid directly to me via paypal. Should have £30 or so by then.

You could also look at matched betting, takes a bit of getting your head around, but again its money for nothing and you can makes reasonable money if you can do it. There is a whole sub-forum on mse somewhere that explains it all.

Alternatively, play freerolls on online poker sites, learn the game inside out, build up a bankroll = profit ££££. (this option may not be the wisest)

    Hope that helps,
    Stacie
  • there is a list of best earners, if you click across the green tabs across the top, it has percentage and amount - can also do this by specific category.

I did the national lottery one yesterday, deposit 5gbp and they give you an extra pound, 4gbp cashback (my pound sign doesn't work, sorry!), so am waiting for that to show as tracked before i take the 5 pounds out of my fund.
  • Am I being stupid? I can't find Gala Bingo on the list of merchants :(

    Thanks for that,

I though the gala web site said you had to deposit a minimum of £10 to get the cash back.

Am I wrong!!! We are going to start my daughter off following my lead, so it would be nice to get the other £5 for her.

Is i possible to sign up with more than one identity per household.

    Cheers

    Hi

Chevalier has a really good list of links for this sort of thing - nicked wholesale from an earlier post. good way to get vouchers for presents etc.

Also have you signed her up for www.freecycle.org? This is the equivalent to e-bay except that people give stuff away. She can sign up to her local area and surrounding ones if she can get there transport wise. great for kids stuff and electrical kit.

And check mystery shopping, there is a thread around i think. Yu want the deals where they want a family to test out a local restaurant or service at a shop. here http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=454437

finally get her onto the freebies forum here, sometimes more useful for pressies but also samples of stuff that make life more interesting.

Here are some survey sites, which will increase your income a little. Hope they help.

Also at the bottom there is some other suggestions ref reclaiming bank charges, and checking you are in the correct band for council tax
    Good luck
    chev

www.lightspeedpanel.com - this is a survey site, where you get points which turn into vouchers (you choose). May not help with the cash flow, but the vouchers could be saved towards birthday/xmas or given as presents.

www.ciao.co.uk - survey site that gives money. A bit fits and starts ie no surveys for a couple of weeks, then three or four the same day.

www.yougov.com - again paid surveys. However takes a while to get to the minimum payout level

www.mytns.com - again this is a survey site, but it pays you in points that convert into Nectar points at Sainsbury’s.

www.pigsback.co.uk - this is a points site, ie they give you points for buying things via their site. BUT you also get points for signing up for news letters (some of which are even interesting!), and also for clicking on adverts with pink borders. I have spent NOTHING with them but got a £10 voucher through this week (only been registered since January). There is also a thread in the freebies section, of www.moneysavingexpert.com which gives you all the daily answers to the competitions so you can have a better chance of winning on them.

www.mutualpoints.com - another points for clicks site. You can also buy things via their site and get points too. For a long time, I just clicked the links in the emails they send you, and that gets you 5 points. At 3000 points you get £20 I think. You can do searches via their site and that gets you points too.

www.quidco.com - this is a cash back site, so very good, for checking if any potential new insurers (ie if you have checked your contents insurance say and found a new provider), are offering cash back. Eg Lloyds was offering £120 cashback on new policies at one point (the offers do change). You can also get small amounts of cash again for doing searches via their site. You can earn 52p a day by doing this. Every little helps.

www.greasypalm.co.uk - another cash back site, where you can do searches and get small amounts of money. But it all adds up. I think you can get about 50p a day on there for nothing. Minimum payout is £20 I think, but you can sign up to survey sites via there, and get extra money that way for nothing.

Again more medium term money might come from claiming back bank charges. Also if you had an endowment you can write to your provider suggesting you might have been misinformed about its performance. Many people have got money back on that. There are articles from Martin on the main site about how to go about doing this.
If you are going to do this, it is wise to set up another current account first, with a bank that you have no debt with. Just to be on the safe side.
If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing
