I still can't believe it, but I got a call today from Payplan to say they've had confirmation from all my creditors that my balances are all 0. Almost 8 years of paying my DMP and I'm finally free!
I feel like- you know in a film when someone gets shipwrecked in a storm in the night and it's all dark and loud and scary and then the next scene is where they wake up, alive, washed up on a beach in the sun? I feel like that.
Anyone who is just starting out in a DMP, or even worse, anyone who is half way through and feel like they're getting nowhere- keep going! It WILL come to an end!! :j:j

Well done to you Debtslave :j:T
8 years on a DMP is no mean feat. We have done 5...another 2ish to go. Your analogy to the shipwreck is about right. I liken it sometimes to ancient Britons pushing stones from Wales to build Stonehenge! I shall use your fine example as a motivation not to mope :rotfl:
(I can also liken DMP 5 years in to being like Macbeth halfway through the river of blood - no point going back!) XDMP since August 2011
