I had a pair of Converse Chuck Taylor bought a few years ago and sadly, they're now falling to bits. I don't really want to spend £45 on a pair of trainers though (MSE in me)!

Does anyone know of any upcoming sales / deals where I can get some? Don't want to try eBay as I'm worried about getting knock off's

Or just try sales at Schuh, Size, JD Sports etc.

Try the converse web site direct. At least you know they won't be fakes and they also have a sale section too. Also Debenhams have some sale stock too

I have a *few* pairs of converse most from schuh and office (their sale usually picks up around late May-early June, although they usually have sale stock all year) or try M&M direct.

Like Blueyez, I would recommend waiting for a sale at Schuh. You can sometimes get a real bargain on Converse.
