Tempur or spring?

We need a new mattress and are debating on whether to get a Tempur mattress that we have seen at a Tempur outlet store with a really good price. We are worried that over the years the foam may just stop springing back, and that reports say you can get hot.
Or do we stick to a pocket Spring? Just had to return one to Dreams after just a month as a ridge formed in the centre and started to dip at the sides.
The mattress wasn't cheap, it was just over £1000.

Our Tempur mattress is now more than 12 years old. It is still perfect, no dips, as good as the day we got it. As are the pillows, I have always used a mattress cover and washed this and the original stretch cover on a regular basis. Highly recommend.0

I've had a Tempur mattress for 11 years now. Agree with burnsguitarman, no dips and still looks good.0

I adore our Tempor but it's such a personal thing it's hard to advise. They are warmer than sprung but I prefer that I hate drafts and cold.
I would try to find a way to sleep on one before buying one as they are so very different. Maybe find out what hotel chain has Tempor beds and book up for a night and try it. They do keep their shape far longer than ive ever kept one and now they have a range of densities so offer soft medium and hard. Originally only one density was available0 -
We are looking at the Tempur Sensation deluxe that apparently feels more like a sprung mattress. I need to look into the Tempur 60day money back guarantee in more detail!0

Totally agree. I used to stay in a hotel a few times a year, when they changed to these, I changed hotels.“Quis custodiet ipsos custodes?”
