Civil service Initial Sift Test

I was just wondering if anyone has been recently employed by the civil service (in an AO position) and took the initial sift test? I passed the test but the generated report said that I only scored better than 48% of other applicants that have previously taken the test. Does anyone know what the threshold is for getting through to interview, or does it depend on the other candidates' performances?


Generally, I think I answered the competency questions on the application form well, and in terms of work experience/qualifications I am qualified for the job, I was just wondering whether anyone else got through with quite a low score like this on the initial sift?
