I'm in a similar position. Does the tax credit automatically get added to the Sipp or do you need to do a tax return?

Basic rate tax relief added automatically. Higher rate tax relief would need to be claimed either via a tax return or by phoning HMRC who would adjust your tax code.

Been back on to the pension lady (think im starting to get on her nerves lol)
Got a pension forecast coming for retiring at age 62,and age 65,i know its an estimate but will give me some kind of idea about the differences.
Also asked if i can take the avc as an income 62-65 was told that would be ok at present but in 10 years who knows?
