Thanks for all the advice, someone said h/k can go up to £800, I take it this is my shopping ??
Still considering all option, not sure if we will take this route but its looking the best way at the moment.

debt doctor (works for the CAB) says they allow £30-35 per person per week, & has quoted £525pm for a family of four. The HMRC guidelines are £461pm for a couple with children. I've never seen £800 for housekeeping - with six of you in the household, you'd be allowed a fair amount, but I think they might look to reduce £800pm.BSC #53 - "Never mistake activity for achievement."
