Can someone please help me, Today i have received a Parking Charge Notice for £90 for parking in my local Sports Direct ( which was always free parking for customers) i have read through the newbie thread but sorry for being a dullard dont know which letter to send off to contest this charge. I am a disabled badge holder (been back down today to take photo's of signs & found no concessions for disabled) Checked on there charges and it is only 50p/30 mins £1/hour. I was shopping in SD for 34 minutes !!!
Please, Please help this Damsel in Distress

its the blue text BPA template, no changes at all
do not admit to being the driver, appeal as keeper
if this is a postal notice , you have 28 days to appeal it but appeal it now or soon
if its a windscreen pcn , appeal it on day 25
if its a p & d car park you should have paid and the BB doesnt allow you free parking unless the signs say so
its always worth complaining to the landowner and cite the EA2010 which covers you in those parking spaces, trying for a landowner cancellation, SD may be able to do this, especially if they own the car park
this may end up at POPLA if not so smart dont cancel (or if the landowner does not cancel)0 -
Do exactly as Redx has advised.I married my cousin. I had to...I don't have a sister.
All my screwdrivers are cordless."You're Safety Is My Primary Concern Dear" - Laks0 -
Thank you Redx & Fruitcake for your very swift replies. Is it the template as below :-
Date
Dear Sirs
Re: PCN No. ....................
I challenge this 'PCN' as keeper of the car and I will complain to the landowner about the matter if it is not cancelled. ETC
Never had anything like this happen so sorry i'm really stuck. being told off someone else they could only charge me 50p/£1 for there loss of earnings while i was using there parking, Dont know if this is true
Thank you again

Thank you very much Ralph, my knight in shining Armour, Should i include receipts of my shopping in this first letter or wait till further down the line0
-
yes include receipts copies ...
but remember do not reveal who was driving ........
no ...I , me

I would redact any personal info and add an extra line that says
"an occupant of the vehicle shopped at Sports Direct on site and as keeper I have attached copies of the proof of purchases made on site by that occupant"
then attach COPIES of any receipts or bank statements , redacting personal information
and I did tell you that the blue text BPA template was the correct one, which the others confirmed, cannot miss it as its in blue , but yes your copy/paste was correct , lol0 -
Thanks Redx & Ralph i just wanted to make sure i got it right and not mess it up before i started0

You clearly haven't read any Smart Parking cases here, if you are scared.
99% of the time they CANCEL WITHIN A WEEK OR TWO when they see the forum appeal template submitted online to them!! :rotfl:PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
