Cancel the Sparks card. If more people actually did this, they might sit up and take notice that it is total rubbish

You're probably right, though I keep it going in the hope that one day M&S will decide to make it worth having.

As things stand now, though, for me at least, it creates far more negativity about M&S than positivity - and I shop elsewhere.

Staggered to find recently that M&S are charging £18 for 3 pairs of men's trunks. Primark charge just £7 for the same thing. There's no way on this earth that a possible marginal difference in quality is worth almost three times the price.

I bought a top at M and S recently. It was the same size I always buy but when I got it home it was too small. I have also noticed that the length of their regular jeans has increased. I was told last night that this is because their clothes are now made by a new supplier in a different country and consequently the sizing has all changed.

I don't know if this is true but it's worth trying their clothes on even if you are buying your usual size

That's very bad practice by M&S, sizes should not change dependent on where they are made and by whom!

For example, a UK size 12 or a men's 38R should consistently be the same measurements if they are sold in this country so customers can buy the size they require with confidence - they should not differ according to where they are made, that's ridiculous.

IMO M&S have really, really lost the plot.

I agree with you wholeheartedly - but you've obviously not encountered the morass that is women's sizing, with every single retailer using its own version of the so-called standard sizes.

Why women put up with it escapes me - unless it really is just a vanity thing! :)

I agree but this is one retailer that is changing their version of the sizes they have previously sold. That is what I find unacceptable.

Customers of M&S expect the M&S version of a size 12 or whatever to be, and to remain, the same - even if it is different from those sold by Next or Debenhams.

Agree with this 100% I recently bought trousers identical size, style etc to ones which were perfect on, to go on a trip. Didnt bother trying them till due to leave and was horrified to find they were tighter all over and very uncomfortable to wear.

I try on a couple of pairs in the same design and size now as they can vary in size! SA didn't believe me till I showed her. So disappointing.

If that's the case then it shows how far M&S have fallen. As many moons ago, I used to work for company that made garments for them and they were incredibly strict on every aspect of the garments manufacture.
