have seen a couple in the last few days that state that comments mus be at least 8 words long - one sails that if you put less it is seen as spam & doesn't show up
Can one of our lovely rafflecopter hosts confirm if this is the case

I saw this too but I think it's the blog that screens the comment as spam (possibly) because you're commenting on the blog and not on the rafflecopter.Thank you to everyone who posts on the competitions boards. You all rock!0

It might be the blog hosting platform rather than Rafflecopter that see it as spam. I think Blogger has an in-built spam detection thing. I use Blogger for my blog, but I haven't come across any comments being marked as spam on my blog, no matter how few words there are.2019 Wins

Its generally to do with blogger and google, basically too many comments below 8 words can sometimes (but not often) be seen as spam by google bots so would negatively affect how a site ranks in searches
It doesn't affect compers in any way shape or form and your entries won't be invalid if it's less than 8 words it's just the blogger trying to protect their google rankings0 -
It doesn't really matter why they want it, if they have said the comments must be at least 8 words long as a condition of entry then they can exclude any that are not.0

Come on - it is not hard to leave a reply with more than 8 words if you genuinely want to win the prize! I often see comments that don't even answer the bloggers question in the raffle! eg 'Tell me who you would like to win this prize for and why....' 'Great prize thanks' If the blogger has taken the time to review the product and set up the giveaway then surely any genuine entrants should at least answer the question correctly? So I do think bloggers should disqualify those who don't follow the rules and if they ask for a reply with 8 words - 8 words doesn't take more than a minute so just do it if you want to win the prize!:TA big thanks to all who post and sprinkling lucky dust to all who enter :smileyhea0
