how to decorate a costco cake.

It's my daughter's 18th and I have her a trip to Barcelona for some shopping.

I thought of decorating a Costco cake with a map of Spain, in each corner some shoes, handbags, champagne glasses

But I can't decorate a cake... At all.

Any ideas?

I thought of barbie doll type shoes and bags? No idea how to do Spain, I thought of a plane too but might be getting too many ideas......
Forty and fabulous, well that's what my cards say....

This is what I would do if I were you (I too cannot decorate a cake):

Fondant icing, bright colour (flamenco red?), rolled out. Print an outline map of Spain. Transfer that shape onto the icing and cut out. Place fondant icing Spain on the top of the cake.

Check toy shop for things like small plastic shoes, handbags - think Barbie sized, maybe doll accessories. Also probably find a toy plane of an appropriate size to put on cake.

    I like the idea.

This is what I was thinking of, but didn't know if the fondant would dry and crack?

Type in Spanish cake topper on EBay , they in my opinion look better than the Amazo type.

Thanks for this, I just seem to see the flags on eBay. I like the Amazon one as the colors etc seem better for a girls cake.
