Mortgage panic

Hi, here it goes been looking on here for ages but only decided to post today!. On 07.04.16 hubby and myself had offer accepted on a house. That's the yay bit.....

Then sets in the panic!!! In 2008 we had our first house repossessed after my husband was made redundant and I was on maternity leave, to cut a long story short we thought we would never buy again. We have been very lucky to learn from our mistakes (growing older helps) and have been gifted a 15% deposit for £178000 property. We have used a broker who has applied to Nayarit for our mortgage, documents submitted, valuation took place this week.

I suppose my question really is from other people's experiences what are our chances of ever owning our own home again.

Many thanks in advance
